BACKGROUND
The college is co-educational
and is located at Old Ewu Road (Off Airport Road)
in the mafoluku area of Lagos metropolis.
It is
completently managed by the Dominicans who have
acquired useful experience from managing its forerunner,
the Dominican Nursery & Primary School, which
was established in 1992 and also situated in Mafoluku.
The primary school has been very
successful and indeed, the establishment of the
Dominican College is an answer to the yearnings
of parents who want their children to graduate
from the primary school and move on to a secondary
school that is managed by the Dominicans.
The first set of students, 36
in number were admitted into JSS1 class for the
2006/2007 academic year, while 60 have been admitted
for the 2007/2008 session.
In line with our vision, our goal
is the formation of the whole person, through an
integrated, qualitative educational process that
is based on unchanging, sound moral and spiritual
values.
We shall charge moderate fees
and because we are sensitive to the needs of the
less privileged, who might be unable to afford
the school fees, a scholarship scheme funded by
some of our benefactors is in place .
