2011 CHILDREN DAY CELEBRATION

It was another great day of joy and fun at the Dominican College Mafoluku - Lagos as Parents, Teachers, Sponsors and other special invitees were thrilled by the exhilarating performances of students of the Dominican College.

The program was declared open by Rev. Bro. Stephen Lucas, O.P. after he gave the opening prayer of the day. Thereafter, Rev. Sr. Margaret Hussain, O.P. and Miss Onyeocha Jane - SS2 (a representative of Dominican Schools Lagos) gave a separate welcome speech to the audience.

In her speech, Sr. Margaret O.P. highlighted the importance of children as special innocent gifts of blessings from God, entrusted in the hand of Parents, Guardians and Teachers for nurturing and guidance. Children are loved by the Church and their Parents.

Hence, it is imperative to set a day aside to celebrate this worthy gift of God, which is the essence of the Children's day celebration. She admonished the students to continue to be good ambassadors of the School and abide in the policy objectives for excellence.
